261 years have passed since the most destructive tsunami affected the Atlantic coast of Europe in historical times…the AD 1755!
To mark this date, and due to high demand from you and colleagues, we decided to open the registration for the 5th International Tsunami Field Symposium.
We remind you that there is a limited number of places for the field trips.
We encourage you to register soon!
Looking forward to see you in Lisbon!
We are glad to invite you to attend the 5th International Tsunami Field Symposium that will be held in Portugal in September 2017.
This meeting is part of a series of successful field symposiums that started in the early 2000’s. The meeting in Lisbon and the Algarve will follow this tradition and will provide an opportunity for fruitful scientific discussions. On top of all the scientific challenges, we hope to provide a lively and enjoyable environment to all the participants.
These meetings gather together a considerable number of tsunami geoscientists ranging from young Ph.D. students to well experienced researchers. They have covered a wide spectrum of disciplines keeping the pace with research developments in the study of tsunami events.
Looking forward to see you in Lisbon
